A few kilometers away, Getaria offers a slightly different plan, more tranquil and very linked to the sea. This small coastal village invites you to discover its history and taste its famous txakoli (white wine) while enjoying the views.
After the Basque Country, you cannot miss Cantabria. Santillana del Mar is one of its most well-known towns, with a very well-preserved medieval past. Very close by are the Altamira Caves, a highly recommended visit to understand the region's ancient past.

Gijón is an ideal option for an urban stop: a very lively city with a great number of cultural activities and where you will eat wonderfully. The Lagos de Covadonga gift you one of the most spectacular landscapes of the trip.
Cudillero is a perfect stop to conclude the route (or start it, depending on your itinerary). Colorful houses, steep streets, and a genuine maritime atmosphere. A destination to slow down, eat well, and relax.
